The Trumpet

The trumpet is the smallest and highest of the brass instruments. The trumpet has three valves which allow the player to change tones.

The Trombone

The trombone is the most different of the brass instruments. It does not have valves instead the player can slide the long tube in and out changing the tone.

The french horn is the longest of the brass instruments, if you uncurles the tubes it would be over 14 feet long. The french horn has a mellow sound and is often paired with the woodwinds.

The Tuba

The tuba is the largest and lowest of the brass. Because it weights so much the player often sits to play.
