The band will march in the Memorial Day Parade J Step off is at 1pm at the Plainfield Memorial School grounds. Band students will need to
***Thursday, June 1st****
The music department will be taking its trip to Boston to eat at Quincy Market and see the Boston Pops play Gershwin!! We will leave at 2pm. This is a change from what we originally had planned. Bring anything you’ll need for Boston to school that day! We’re also asking that students not wear flip flops or jeans (basically, try to look semi-professional J) We will still return at approximately 11:45ish.
***Saturday, June 3rd ****
CAR WASH!! All music students need to be at the Jewett City Bank to help out with this fundraiser for at least part of the day. Support yourselves and get wet while having fun J

*PARENT BOOSTER MEETING*
All parents who have children in the music program are extremely encouraged to be at this meeting to find out what we’ll be doing next year. All 8th grade parents who have a child involved in music in any way should especially try to make it to find out what’s happening. Come show your support!
Wednesday, June 7th
Our Spring Concert in the PHS auditorium at 7pm. Come see the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Band, and Jazz Band show off their talents!
Friday, June 9th at 5:30pm
We will be having our Music Banquet in the Cafeteria. Any students that were involved in music should come with their families to see their child recognized at this event. Music Banquet forms were sent to every home of a music student via mail. Make sure to respond to the letter. Also, it’s a pot luck supper so make sure to bring your specialty dish! Following dinner and the awards will be dancing. Do NOT miss out!
