PHS
ATHLETIC BOOSTERS
Meetings
are held:
Second Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the High School Cafeteria
What is our function?
The function of the Boosters is to assist the Athletic program at Plainfield High School.
How do we do this?
We perform this function by raising money through concessions at all home football and basketball games, in addition to the annual Panther Run, Panther Plunge, Spaghetti Supper (Wednesday night before Thanksgiving) and the annual Chicken BBQ that is held at the Central Village Fire Department in the spring.
What do we do with the money we raise?
In the past we have provided several thousand dollars worth of weight equipment, cheerleading uniforms, basketball scorers table, sticky mats and chair covers for the gym, batting cages for the softball and baseball fields, easy-up tent, and other items that are needed by the Athletic department, and not covered in their annual budget.
What is our organizations structure?
A minimum of ten (10) meetings shall be held annually. The basic concept of majority rule is adhered to in all decisions made by the Boosters. The governing body is a board, consisting of the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer as well as the membership in good standing. Terms of office of each officer shall be for a period of one (1) year starting September 1st. Nominations will be accepted during the May meeting and voted on in June.
How does someone get involved in the Boosters?
Attend a meeting, talk to a member, or call 564-4302 - Tee Sabourin, PHS ABC President. We are always looking for more people to get involved!
