BEING OUR BEST ON THE BUS
Dear Families,
Safe and respectful behavior on the school bus is essential for ensuring a positive and secure experience for all students. The bus is an extension of the classroom, and maintaining good behavior helps create a calm environment where the driver can focus on safely transporting children to and from school. When students follow bus rules—such as staying seated, keeping voices at a reasonable volume, and showing kindness to peers—it reduces distractions and helps prevent accidents. Encouraging your child to practice good bus etiquette not only ensures their safety but also fosters responsibility, respect, and consideration for others.
To assist in these conversations, I have included talking points from each school’s guidelines on bus behavior below. Please review them with your child to help reinforce the importance of these rules. Together, we can make the bus ride a safe and enjoyable part of every school day.
Sincerely,
Paul M. Brenton
